For the rest of the afternoon we will visit the city of Tena, where we will enjoy a cold drink in front of the river that crosses the city.

Day 6 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) We will fly to the Enchanted Islands (Galapagos). We will arrive at lunch time. After check in we will have the afternoon to get to know the local town (San Cristobal), go for a walk and have our first experience with the sealions, beach, and sights from the Islands.

Day 7 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) In the morning we will have a very adventurous and exciting kayak trip. We will be joined at all times by a motor engine boat for safety. During the kayak ride we will see sealions, iguanas and bluefooted boobies. After a delicious lunch we will visit the Environmental Communication Center to learn about the history of Galapagos, its formation, conservation and most interest facts of the Islands.

Day 8 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) After breakfast we will go to the beach to do some snorkeling in crystal clear waters. We will see some of the famous fauna of Galapagos. In the afternoon we will drive across the Island to the Galapaguera. In this location we will admire the giant turtles that give the name to the Islands.

Day 9 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) After breakfast we will share with local people from Galapagos several activities, among which we can choose handicraft manufacturing, massage, cooking or dancing lesson (these activities are mostly to interact with the local community and learn about their costumes). After lunch we will take the plane back to Quito (arrive to Quito in the middle of the afternoon).

Day 10 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) Visit to Quito’s Colonial Center, declared World Culture Heritage by UNESCO. Visit the churches and squares and get to know their history and most interesting facts. Then we will visit the Middle of the World monument, which is located on the Equator and where you can actually move between the southern and northern hemispheres in one second. We will visit the Inti-Ñam museum where we will observe some experiments that prove we are in the Middle of the World.
