Day 2 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) After breakfast we will drive to the amazon region of Ecuador. We will stop at a town called Baeza, which is one of the entrances to the amazon region. We will be lecture by a ranger of a Biosphere Reserve about the most important facts of the region where we will be visiting. We will arrive to Huasquila Amazon Lodge in the middle of the afternoon. After checking in, we will relax and enjoy the beautiful sights from the lodge. Day 3 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) Today we will have a unique experience. We will visit an indigenous community where we will interact and learn their culture, traditions, costumes, food habits, etc. We will have the opportunity to observe the preparation of “chicha” which is their traditional drink (the most adventurous ones will have the opportunity to try it). For the rest of the afternoon we will visit the city of Tena, where we will enjoy a cold drink in front of the river that crosses the city. Day 4 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) Today we will visit the pethroglyphs, which are amazing stone carved. We will learn about the representations of these figures and how the indigenous identify with them. In the afternoon we will visit an animal rescue center, where they harbor animals that have been recover from illegal animal trade. The idea of this center is to reinsert these animals in the wild, however this is extremely hard since most of these animals are injured. If lucky we will be able to take a picture with a boa. Day 5 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) After breakfast we will head back to Quito. On our way we will have a 2 hours stop at one of Ecuadors´ hot spot for birdwatching. The views of the landscape from this area are simply magnificent. We will arrive at Quito late afternoon for dinner.
Day 7 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) In the morning we will have a very adventurous and exciting kayak trip. We will be joined at all times by a motor engine boat for safety. During the kayak ride we will see sealions, iguanas and bluefooted boobies. After a delicious lunch we will visit the Environmental Communication Center to learn about the history of Galapagos, its formation, conservation and most interest facts of the Islands. Day 8 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) After breakfast we will go to the beach to do some snorkeling in crystal clear waters. We will see some of the famous fauna of Galapagos. In the afternoon we will drive across the Island to the Galapaguera. In this location we will admire the giant turtles that give the name to the Islands. Day 9 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) After breakfast we will share with local people from Galapagos several activities, among which we can choose handicraft manufacturing, massage, cooking or dancing lesson (these activities are mostly to interact with the local community and learn about their costumes). After lunch we will take the plane back to Quito (arrive to Quito in the middle of the afternoon). Day 10 (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) Visit to Quito’s Colonial Center, declared World Culture Heritage by UNESCO. Visit the churches and squares and get to know their history and most interesting facts. Then we will visit the Middle of the World monument, which is located on the Equator and where you can actually move between the southern and northern hemispheres in one second. We will visit the Inti-Ñam museum where we will observe some experiments that prove we are in the Middle of the World. After dinner we will give you a final overview of the trip with a presentation of all the pictures we have taken during the excursions. We will give every guest a CD with the pictures as a remembrance gift. Day 11 (includes all meals before flight) The price includes:
